DESCRIPTION
Punto Final, meaning “final period” or “full stop,” symbolizes the point at which the Bodega Renacer winemaking team has accomplished their common goal: a truly outstanding wine.
The grapes for the Punto Final Reserva Cabernet Franc are sourced from two 15 year old vineyard sites in Perdriel and Vista Flores, double hand-sorted prior to fermentation with native yeasts. Following fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged for one year in French oak barrels and then six months in bottle before release.
Tasting Notes
This deep and intense ruby colored wine opens with notes of black pepper, eucalyptus and fresh mint aromas that merge with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Soft touches of French oak provide complexity and elegance. It has a sweet impact and soft velvety tannins. Fruity, with red fruit highlights and spicy streaks that are typically found in a Cabernet Franc. Good body and concentration with a long and persistent finish.
Food Pairing
Match Punto Final Gran Cabernet Franc with a variety of roasted or barbequed meats. The wine is an ideal partner for game or wintry stews. Rustic pastas and ripe cheeses also make an ideal pairing.
