Bright yellow. Subdued but pure aromas of fresh citrus and stone fruits with a hint of lavender. Brisk orange and lime flavors show a strong mineral tang, with firm acidity giving an austere quality to the long finish. This minerally, lemony wine will appeal to those who don’t like their Gewürztraminers too sweet and opulent and to drinkers who like their wines to taste classically dry.
Zestiness amid the rounded apricot and rose-petal flavors marks this out, while a pleasant, ever-so-slightly bitter phenolic edge gives just a little bite. The aromatics are subtly expressed and the real action happens on the textured palate.
