Our Chardonnay exhibits refreshing aromas of fresh green apples, citrus and tropical fruits. As it dances across the palate, light citrus layered with fresh peaches fills the mouth as soft vanilla and oak notes linger.
Good acidity gives it a crisp balance with a creamy medium-length finish. This Chardonnay should be served slightly chilled and pairs well with a variety of cuisines and dishes, from French onion soup to fish and shellfish, such as Trout Almandine and grilled scallops.
In 1948 Ironstone Vineyards was founded by John Kautz. Starting with 12 acres, John quickly built a reputation as a premium wine grape grower, amassing over 5,000 acres of vineyards planted in Lodi and the Sierra Foothills and eventually becoming one of the top ten wine grape growers in California.
