Despite hailing from the big red wine dominated Rhône region of Gigondas, this delightful drop sits perfectly between a white wine and a Provence rosé. Made by the Brunier brothers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape legend Vieux Télégraphe, this wine is actually so delicate in colour that the duo aren’t allowed to call it Gigondas, and instead have to bottle it as a “Vin de France” (the only Brunier wine to be labelled as such). When you taste it you see that this is crazy bureaucracy, as it’s clearly one of the best rosé wines in the region.

The organic wine is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Clairette, crafted using wild yeast and very little sulphur, and was the very first rosé that Daniel and Frédéric Brunier had created. So they named it after the French saying “au petit bonheur la chance”, meaning “we’ll see where luck takes us”. Apparently that luck will take you far, especially when you’re two of France’s finest winemakers.
