Binomio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2014 |
As a joint venture between Sabato di Properzio of Fattoria La Valentina in Abruzzo and Stefano Inama of Inama Azienda Agricola in Soave, this bottling starts off with aromas of sweet tobacco leaf and anise over a lightly spiced cherry core. The medium-bodied palate shows a solid intensity of tart cherry and currant, with a mineral twang and medium-grained tannins.
Deep dense intense ruby red color, with a purple viscous rim. Intense nose with ripe blackberry, wild strawberry and spices. Powerful and expansive on the palate, with ripe tannins and great balance. Round and fresh ending, long-lasting, with aromatic persistence.
Pairs with Callara sheep, baked and grilled meats, and very mature aged cheeses.
