The 2014 Guru is a roughly equal blend of traditional grapes: Viosinho, Rabigato, Gouveio and Códega do Larinho. It was aged for five months in new French barriques. Sourced from vines at 1,650-1,980 feet, it comes in at just 12.5% alcohol. The wine is beautifully structured, with fine grip on the finish to match its concentration and texture. Underneath, it finishes with very tasty fruit. Consequently, this lovely Branco frequently sings, reveling in its sunny demeanor coupled with that fine concentration and a lingering finish. .
An elegant wine exhibiting grapefruit and mineral aromas and flavors warmed by oak contact. Refreshing, with a fine balance and long finish.
