The Chianti Classico Riserva Castello di Monna Lisa is a big wine. The inclusion of 5% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon give the Monna Lisa a slightly modern feel, but without robbing the wine of its essential Sangiovese driven personality. Firm tannins support a finish laced with ripe red fruit, tobacco, grilled herbs and licorice.
Sleek and structured, this offers aromas of blue flower, pressed powder, perfumed berry and leather. The bright palate delivers juicy black cherry, cinnamon, licorice and tobacco, with firm, polished tannins. It's already tempting but hold for complexity.
