The Great American Wine Chardonnay

Proudly made in the USA, our creamy Chardonnay features aromas of bright tropical fruit, followed by flavors of red apple, vanilla, and toasted oak.This 2012 Chardonnay opens with delicate aromas of citrus blossom, honeydew melon, pear, flint and toasted almonds. The entry is silky with pear and citrus flavors. Refreshing acidity leads to a juicy finish, layered with toasted oak. After relatively normal winter, the 2012 growing season started out with a wet and cool spring. The rains and low temperatures extended the time between bud break and bloom. This initial delay in vine development, coupled with a mild summer, pushed the Chardonnay harvest well into September. The threat of rain in October accelerated harvesting. The cool season allowed of great flavor development at lower sugars.
