Silverado Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Geo 2016 |
Floral and sweet fruit aromas, hints of clove and bittersweet chocolate. Full bodied, with good tannin structure and flavors of muddled black cherry, anise and stone fruit.
From the producer's own Mount George Vineyard this 100% varietal wine is sumptuous in blackberry, cherry and a forthright nose of clove. Dark and brooding, it offers depth and rounded texture, a richness on the midpalate that leads to earthy notes of dried herb, cedar and crushed rock.
Very expressive up front, with violet, blueberry and steeped plum aromas and flavors mixed together, laced with warm earth and sweet tobacco nuances. Everything gains steam steadily through the finish. Shows a slightly rustic edge at the end, but this remains rock-solid.
