Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo Ludo 2015 |
This Barolo Ludo comes from the grapes in purity of a very large Piedmontese red grape variety, Nebbiolo. The Luigi Einaudi winery carefully selects the grapes of this vine within the vineyards of Terlo, Cannubi and Bussia, to guarantee only the best result in the glass. The grapes, once harvested during the harvest, vinify in steel, with a controlled temperature between 30 and 32 degrees, also carrying out malolactic fermentation. It then goes on to the stage of maturation, in which the wine rests both in cask and in large barrique for 30 months , the period at which the product is ready to be bottled. Once in glass, the wine ages further for another six months before being put on the market.
There’s a wealth of ripe and rich fruit here that makes a convincing impression on the nose with red to darker cherries, plums and an array of fresh leaves and herbs. The palate has seamless, finely grained tannins that carry a smooth array of fresh and juicy red-cherry flavor. Really holds the finish well.
