DESCRIPTION
Sankt Laurent is often described as a fuller bodied and perhaps more rustic version of Pinot Noir although their relationship is the subject of some debate. The wine shows aromas and flavors of wild blackberries and wild cherries with herbal spice and features a velvety texture with moderate tannins.
Altenberg is made only in top vintages and is from gravel and fossil limestone. Spiegel, a flatter vineyard with chalky soils, gives a particularly powerful Blaufränkisch.
