It is not easy to make a great Pinot Noir out of Burgundy, anonymous wines are often found; This is not the case, however, because Alessandro Cellai, oenologist and owner of Podere Monastero, has found a perfect terroir for this vine that gave us this fantastic “La Pineta”, a pure Pinot Noir produced in Castellina in Chianti.
Fermented in wooden vats and aged for 12 months in barrique. Striking for its finesse and aromatic richness, on the palate it is silky and savory with a long mineral finish. If you want to impress your sommelier friends, take him to a Czech tasting of Burgundy.
