Dark Mahogany color with golden highlights. Great depth on the nose with notes of bitter orange chocolates, nuts, raisins and smoky wood. Once on the mouth it's an explosive wine, covering the mouth with a sweetness quickly followed by a pronounced acidity attack that gives a great freshness and lengths of dried fruits, exotic woods and spices.
This wine comes from the workhorse grape of Madeira which has the ability to produce both dry and sweet wines. This wine, in the style of a rich Bual, has both treacly richness and the intense acidity associated with a Madeira.
