A comparatively supple premier cru, this is a wine of rich, plummy berry and dark stone fruit flavors underscored by sweet spice, oak and earth supported by focused yet gentle tannins.

Strong wood influence presently dominates the red and dark fruit, earth and soft spice aromas. There is better volume and power to the richer medium weight flavors that also possess better mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a fleshy and palate coating finish where the supporting tannins are riper though there is still a very mild edge to them.
