Louis Jadot Gevrey Chambertin Petite Chapelle 2016 |
The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers has a very detailed and perfumed bouquet that delivers layers of mineral-driven red berry fruit that really translate the terroir. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, good substance, a little oaky towards the finish.
Mid crimson. Dark fruited and withheld; extremely elegant on the palate and all in harmony already. Dry finesse to the texture with the juicy fruit seeming out round the edges. Supple and persistent and greater beauty to come.
This wine comes from the northernmost of the Grand Crus in Gevrey-Chambertin. Immense red fruits are as immense as the tannins, both laced with intense, juicy acidity. The wine's richness will be enhanced as it ages.
