Louis Jadot Gevrey Chambertin Les Cazetiers 2014

The seductive dark stone fruit and smoke aromas of this wine lead into rich, velvety flavors of ripe black cherries and leafy earth notes balanced by elegantly firm, high-toned tannins ending in a long finish.

The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin Les Cazetiers is a large step up from the village cru with a different level of tension and mineralité. The palate is very cohesive with supple tannin, very well judged acidity, real density and poise, with a dash of white pepper and sage on the finish. There is a lot of charm and passion about this Cazetiers and it comes highly recommended.

Bright, dark red. Highly complex, expressive scents and flavors of black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, licorice, animal fur and brown spices. Rich, pliant and slightly wild in the mouth, conveying compelling Gevrey perfume. Very suave for Cazetiers and most impressive on the back end, which features serious but smooth tannins and rising, palate-staining length.
