Disgorged in September 2013, the white-gold colored 2004 Champagne Lanson Gold Label Brut Vintage offers a very clear, refined and refreshingly complex nose of bright fruit aromas, i.e. ripe apples, lemon peels, white pepper, cinnamon, brioche, hazelnut and honey flavors.
The wine is absolutely pure and fresh on the palate combining elegance, lightness and finesse with a lingering complexity and a stimulating dryness. This is a remarkably good Champagne and a true classic from a really incredible vintage.
Now ripe and mature, this is a full-bodied, rich and toasty wine. It is complex with flavors of white fruits, citrus and vanilla, along with a tight, mineral-laced texture. Crisp in the Lanson style and full of impressive flavors, this is a wine that is ready to drink now.
