With an initial spiced marionberry quality, the wine unwinds slowly into notes of cedar plank and delicate rose petal, framed by fine, dusty tannins. The palate is expressive with tangy notes of sarsaparilla, red currant, and warm baking spice.
This wine delivers a beautiful brightness on the palate as well as a perky aftertaste. Its aromas and flavors of blueberries, black fruits, and chalk should pair well with grilled, well-seasoned lamb chops.
Dried berries, baked soil and wet gravel show on the nose of this twist-top bottling. There is a strong core of cinnamon and cardamom pod on the palate, which is also rich in red cherry and savory animal hide flavors.
