DESCRIPTION

The 2017 Oregon Pinot Gris has aromas of citrus, fresh peach blossoms and melon. The wine opens with bright acidity followed by notes of key lime and Crenshaw melon on the mid-palate, with the light sweetness of stone fruit on the finish.
Pinot gris is a grape that can be used to make lovely white wines that go so well with springtime’s blooming flowers and verdant trees. Pinot gris, which has its origins in France’s Alsace region, is actually the same grape as pinot grigio, its Italian synonym. However, Alsatian pinot gris wines tend to be richer and more concentrated than Italian pinot grigio. In the United States, a winery’s use of pinot grigio or pinot gris on the label sometimes indicates if the wine is made in the Italian or French style.
