DESCRIPTION

The Vila Santa Reserva is a blend of 30% Alicante Bouschet, 20% Aragonez, 20% Syrah, plus Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon dividing the rest. It was all aged for nine months in 70% used oak (mostly French, one-third American). It comes in at 14% alcohol. 
Tightly wound and concentrated, this is beautifully constructed and very serious for a modest price. This should age well and keep improving for a few years, at least. The winery has often demonstrated that they age very well—almost shockingly well.
