Jean Chartron Saint-Aubin Les Murgers des Dents de Chien 2018 |
Located in the heart of Burgundy, between Beaune and Chalon-sur-Saône, the Domaine Jean Chartron is one of these flagship wineries that have marked the history of their region. Established since 1859 on the most beautiful plots surrounding the town of Puligny, it is thanks to its owner at the time, Jean-Edouard Dupard, that the name of Montrachet could be attached to that of Puligny. In fact, the wines of Puligny-Montrachet are known, even today, to be among the most refined.
Today it is the fifth generation of the family who is at the head of the estate in the person of Jean-Michel Chartron. Having at heart to produce wines that are ever finer and more representative of their terroir, he opts for organic farming and carries out very precise work in terms of woodwork. The coopers are chosen with care, as well as the type of heating and the proportion of new wood to be allocated to each vintage, depending on the vintage.
