Hitching Post Generation Red 2017

A blend of Merlot, Valdiguie, Tempernillo, and Syrah."GEN RED" is their blend of grapes from several vineyards along the Central Coast. This vintage is mostly Merlot that lends roundness and drinkability, with Tempernillo for richness, Syrah and Valdiguie for spice & fruit.

Nose - red berries, blueberries, red cherry. Palate - ripe berries and red apple with great spiciness and terroir. Perfect front mid and sides. A little bit less on the rear but overall really well rounded. Nice hints of minerals with great earthiness. Med to high acid and tannin.
