Emporium Appassimento 2018 |
Emporium boosts an intense bouquet, with notes of ripe fruit and jam, spices, and light tobacco. The wine is ample, smooth and full bodied with a long lasting finish and hints of cherry jam.
Emporium Appassimento is a powerhouse red blend from the extraordinary land of Salento in Puglia, a region rich in history and culture. The wine is crafted using the appassimento method, a style long prized by the noble courts and aristocratic circles of Europe.
Finely grained cherrywood tannins and delicious meaty notes are brightened by plum and cinnamon. The late-harvest drying process results in shriveled grapes, which concentrate aromas and flavors. Armed with great structure, it’s a star for food pairing that overdelivers while maintaining a juicy character

I wasn’t a wine drinker…. At all until this
I was introduced to this bottle of wine in Boston at a nice Italian restaurant with my beautiful wife and friends and after I tasted it I couldn’t believe that I actually liked it! My wife has been begging me to drink wine for years and I just don’t care for the taste of it. I’m more of a beer person and even some liquors but never wine. This wine is so easy to drink!
