Elle Aime VDF Red 2018

unexpectedly wonderful blend of pinot noir and chardonnay by Alice Bouvot red berries in smell, with earthy and leather or even animalistic notes lovely cranberry and raspberry juice.

A blend of roughly three parts of Pinot Noir and one of Chardonnay, planted next to one another over limestone and marl in ‘En Arces’ in Arbois. The two varieties were destemmed and infused together for two months before being pressed and returned to cuve for a year of élevage. Reflecting the warmth of the vintage, this displays a little more depth and power than usual, with complex, nuanced flavours of red berries, earth and spice.
