Brilliant ruby. Fresh blackberry and cherry aromas are complemented by hints of cracked pepper, olive and woodsmoke. Taut and juicy on entry, then fleshier and deeper in the middle, offering pliant dark fruit flavors and a hint of spicecake. Shows impressive energy on the sappy finish, which features rounded tannins and an echo of peppery spices.
