Colle Massari Montecucco Sangiovese Riserva Poggio Lombrone 2015 |
Poggio Lombrone is a powerful, vigorous and structured red wine based on Sangiovese , aged for 24 months in large oak barrels and for at least 12 in the bottle. It is expressed in deep and very intense shades of wild berries, sweet spices, resin, aromatic and balsamic herbs.
On the palate it is full -bodied, muscular , with a sip that immediately promises to be strong, thanks to a remarkable tannic grip. A label with which the ColleMassari winery gives us the perfect wine to accompany great dishes based on red meat and game.

Loved this Bordeaux
From the first sniff of Licorice I loved this wine. The color of Blood ruby and the smell of brandied cherries fills the glass luring you in. Hints of mixed berries and tannins role over the tongue the finish is soft suggesting a brandied sour Cherry. Yum!
