Laden with new wood flavors and dark spice, this is a wine that still has to find its fruit. It does have structure and ample acidity, so hopefully the fruit will become more pronounced with time.
The wine is made from 40-year-old vines. It is elaborated with the high precision demanded by the finest wines. All plots are worked with leaves thinned on the east side to enable the grapes to reach full maturity and development. When ripe, grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in traditional Bordeaux-style.
This beautifully structured wine reveals its full character as it matures in new French oak casks.
