CLONAKILLA O'RIADA SHIRAZ 6 CS |
Sean O'Riada is one of the heroes of medern Ireland. A talented musician and composer who died, prematurely, in 1971, the year Clonakilla was established by John Kirk. He was John's cousin. Made today by the masterful hands of Tim Kirk, John's son, the fruit is selected from four vineyards around Murrumbateman and then co-fermented with 5% Viognier.
The wine delivers classic cool climate Shiraz notes. Showcasing once again the exceptional quality of Clonakilla wines.'Crimson-purple; a supremely elegant, medium-bodied wine with a vivid array of black cherry, blackberry, pepper and multi-spice flavours reflecting the co-fermentation with 6% viognier, the inclusion of whole bunches of shiraz, and 12 months in French oak (30% new); texture and balance are exceptional.
