Chianti Riserva Red 2016

La Ginestra, the commune in based winery in Tuscany, where they have pigs, grains, olive trees, bees and much more. They also happen to produce this exceptional Sangiovese. The vines are 17-20 years old and the entire harvest is done by hand for this plot and the soil is primarily clay and limestone. The juice is left with skins to macerate for 15 days.

It's 14% and medium bodied, with enough but not an over top amount of tannin grip, think plums, pepper and tabacco.
