Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 2001

Deep, dark ruby-red is deeply pigmented but not opaque.Aromas are of cedar, cassis and tobacco leaf with cocoa hints. The style of the fruit on the palate follows the nose. There is nice freshness and a good supple structure.
The freshness lasts throughout the wine. The tannins chow a crunchy side by the end. This is an elegant balanced wine with good length.
