Excellent Saint-Emilion Bordeaux, Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and Frank, very dark carmine-garnet color with the purple background. Nose: mainly oak wood barrel, leather, dark wild fruits, black licorice, toast. In the mouth: ripe, black fruits, a lot of black currant and currant leaves, raspberry, ripe plum, bitter chocolate, coffee, cedar and cherry wood, mineral notes. Wine strong, heavy, full body, rich, great texture, balanced, silky. Finish, long, strong but smooth with great ripe wood tannins.
Good red Bordeaux from Saint Emilion made with 77% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Cabernet Franc. Deep ruby red in color. Ripe red fruit, vanilla, spices and mineral notes on the nose. Medium-bodied, balanced, complex, smooth tannins, pleasant acidity, spicy and fruit notes in the mouth. Long finish and very good paired with grilled Angus beef.
