Aromas of raspberry, blue fruit, green pepper, orange peel and a whiff of smoke lead to confectionary fruit flavors. Grippy tannins back it up. It doesn't all seem to have fully ripened.
This rich, medium bodied, complex wine offers layers of concentrated flavors of ripe berry and plum, mocha and spice, with a hint of oak. These flavors unite to form a long, smooth, and harmonious finish. This wine provides an excellent accompaniment to steak and other red meats, pasta dishes and a variety of cheeses.
