Blending Malbec with 20% Cabernet Franc (back down from 30% in 2012) and 10% Merlot, this is a superb bottling that takes this icon red to a new level. Still very young, but with lots of gas in the tank, it combines flavours of graphite, cedarwood, blackberry and damson with very well judged oak and sculpted tannins
It shows great depth on the nose, with dark, brooding aromas of toast, mocha and rich black fruit. The palate is dense and opulent, with impressive concentration of fruit and yet a deftly woven structure, leading to spicy complexity on the finish.
