Villa Monsignore Barolo 2011 |
Nebbiolo is cultivated from hand-selected vineyards in the DOCG appellation of Barolo to create this balanced rendition. Floral notes of rose, dogwood, and violet compose the bouquet. Dark fruit and hints of leather and spice are present on the dry palate with round, yet structured tannins pervading the long, persistent finish. Aged for 2 years in large French and Slavonian oak barrels, it is cellared for 1 year in bottle.
A full-bodied, well-balanced red. A bouquet of violets, roses, and dogwood is accented by black fruit aromas and hints of leather and spice. The palate is dry, with round, structured tannins pervading the long, persistent fi nish. The king of Italian wines, Villa Rosa Barolo pairs well with hearty fare.
