Pietrafitta Chianti Colli Senesi 2013

This wine comes from the vinification of the grapes that traditionally composed Chianti and that are macerated on the skins with fuller and repeated replacements.

It has flavors of berries and soft and fresh aromas. Earthy, with a tightly wound bouquet of black fruit, lacquer and acetone. Once the chemical character subsides you get moderately deep plum and blackberry, while the finish spreads out in palate-coating fashion. Still, it could stand to be more concentrated.
