This is a cuvée of the most intense barrels from excellent vineyard sites in the red volcanic clay of the Dundee Hills AVA. It shows the sanguine depth and fruity elegance that are typical of this area.
Limpid ruby-red. Powerful, mineral-accented cherry and boysenberry aromas reveal complementary hints of vanilla, mocha and candied flowers. Focused bitter cherry and blue fruit flavors are braced by a spine of juicy acidity and pick up a hint of smokiness on the back half. Lingers with strong persistence, steadily building tannins and repeating florality.
