Introduced in 1927 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of our Maison’s founding, Cuvée du Centenaire is an exceptional blend of refined XO Cognacs from the Grand Crus of Grande and Petite Champagne combined with the essence of wild tropical oranges. The cognac blends found in Cuvée du Centenaire are aged up to 25 years, which results in a perfect balance of smoothness and intense flavors with a complex, lingering finish.Superb, rich finesse and complexity of candied orange notes, hints of tobacco and balsamic originating from the cognac. Round and velvety notes from the characteristics of older cognac blends with lingering flavors of dried fruit, almonds and honey.Lovely lingering finish with nuances of orange essence, dried fruit with powerful notes of cognac.Serve with: Pork Tenderloins with GrandMarnier Soy Marinade over mashed green chile yucca.Grand Marnier (French pronunciation: [g??~ ma?nje]) is a liqueur created in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle. It is made from a blend of true cognacs and distilled essence of bitter orange. Grand Marnier is 40% alcohol (70 Proof in UK, 80 Proof in US). It is produced in several varieties, most of which can be consumed "neat" as a digestif and can be used in mixed drinks and desserts. In France this kind of use is the most popular especially with Crêpes Suzette and "crêpes au Grand Marnier". César Ritz reportedly came up with the name "Grand Marnier" for Marnier-Lapostolle, who in return helped him purchase and establish the Hotel Ritz Paris.
