The Les Pallières rosé is not in-your-face aromatically, without the flash of the Bandols, but it has perfect balance, finesse, and vivacity. The crisp finish ain’t bad either, if you like ’em good and dry.
A wine that uses parcels from around the domaine, around one third each of white clairette, grenache and cinsault. Attractive peaches, some blood oranges and pomegranate. This has layered texture and savory, nutty (wood fermented) style. Malolactic fermentation and lees aging for 4 months, all adding to a creamy texture with ripe pears and a little spice to close.
