The montepulciano softens the aglianico nicely to make this wine very approachable now. Dark cherry and clove notes highlight nicely structured fruit that complement cuisine without being overpowered.
Limpid, amaranth / garnet color. Nose quite intense and quite varied: balsamic, cherry and raspberry jam, coca-cola, tamarind in evidence.

Had this at lunch in Italy and ordered a case before we left the table. Rich and serious wine. Had with beef last night and it was superb!
