IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

Ruby red, with purple hues. Black cherry and spice aromas. Rich taste with soft tannins, delivering persistent black-fruit flavors and subtle hints of smoke, with a lingering finish."A wonderful baby `super-Tuscan,` with ripe fruit but convincingly Italian structure."Publication: Washington PostCol di Sasso is a youthful red to be enjoyed with grilled or roasted meats, poultry, or as an ideal accompaniment to pasta with meat sauce and mildly piquant cheeses.Typically harvested in early October, each grape variety is vinified separately. The Sangiovese imparts body, while stainless steel aged Cabernet Sauvignon adds fruit and structure.

Not up to Banfi name

This has a more "generic red wine" flavor than that of the varietal, and the acidity was off, so it does not pair with much. This would be a nice $10 wine.
