Quinta Do Vallado Touriga Nacional 2016

This blend is dark red. The nose is concentrated, with intense mature red fruit aromas, hints of violet, and “esteva” (a local Portuguese resinous bush). The palate shows good structure, with mature, round tannins, leading to a long, persistent finish.

Smoothly textured, the wine is perfumed and fresh while also containing all the elements of a wine that has aging potential. The acidity is bright, giving a lift to the tannins and to the mineral texture. Aged in wood for 16 months, the wine is still young, needing to age.
