DESCRIPTION

• Nebbiolo from Rocche di Castiglione within the village of Castiglione Falletto, planted in both 1970 and 1999. • Rocche di Castiglione is one of the most historical MGA's of Castiglione Falletto • 350 meters elevation with south-east orientation on a steep slope where the soil is quite poor and draining • The soil is Arenarie di Diano d’Alba, unique to this particular area within Barolo • Sustainable farming with integrated pest management • The grapes are fully destemmed and crushed followed by a 10 day maceration and vinification in oak casks. Malolactic fermentation occurs right after the alcoholic fermentation • Aged 22 months in neutral French oak barrels and 16 months in bottle  • Approximately 1200 cases produced annually
