This old vines 100% Gamay bottling hails from Moulin-A-Vent, which is one of the ten esteemed Crus of Beaujolais. Super aromatic and expressive on the nose, this brambly wine is all about violets, raspberries and stony minerals. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, this shows incredible texture and lively acidity. Domaine Diochon has been producing wines in Beaujolais since 1935 using the ancestral methods of whole cluster fermentation and aging in old wood foudres.
The Gamay grape produces a light, versatile and food-friendly wine. It is best known for making Beaujolais Nouveau, but it is also grown in Loire and Tours.
