The charm of Prosecco is in its simple drinkability. The nose has layers of fresh but understated fruitiness, of apple, flowers and sweet lemon and the flavours are also fresh, with lots of texture and a nice tingling, almost savoury finish. With this make up, Prosecco is an unusual sparkling wine; able to be used solo as the welcoming bubbly which can also slip into dinner and do the job of a fresh white wine.
