Arak is a Mediterranean Styled aniseed flavored liqueur. Raki, Zivania and Ouzo are similar alcoholic drinks related to Arak, popular in Turkey, Cyprus, and Greece. It is an aperitif and usually served before a meal to stimulate the appetite. Traditional Arak in its pure form is colorless.
