AOC PATRIMONIO ROUGE 2015
The AOC range is born from the selection of our most beautiful vines located on the unique terroir of E Croce. Available in red, white, rosé for the AOC Patrimonio and sweet white for the AOC Muscat of Cap Corse, this collection brings to each vintage the footprint of its terroir: freshness and minerality that associated with the leg of the winemaker offers wines precise and suave.
THE VINEYARD
This vintage, composed of 90% Nielluciu and 10% Grenache, comes from vineyards located on the unique terroir of E Croce. Planted on hillsides exposed to the South-West, they draw on a clay-calcareous soil on a schistous base at the foot of the chain of mountains that extend Cap Corse. They benefit from a microclimate due to the maritime influence of the Gulf of St Florent, very conducive to a good maturity and distance from diseases. Cultivated, plowed and loosened in a traditional way, the roots of the vines are forced to plunge into the ground to get the best. The harvest is manual, the grapes are sorted and only healthy and mature grapes are picked. The vineyards of this plot as the whole estate are currently undergoing conversion to organic farming.
