Tasting Notes: Strawberry, raspberry, orange blossom

Winemaking Notes: The Syrah grapes from the vineyards at Marsh Creek in Contra Costa were 100% whole cluster pressed after foot treading and 2 hours of skin maceration. The wine fermented and aged in stainless steel for 6 months prior to bottling. The style is similar to Tavel rosé.

Vintage Notes: A dry winter with below average rainfall and a cool start to spring kept the vines dormant late into March. The spring months stayed dry and cool, slowing shoot growth and contributing to low yields and small berries. Once under full canopy later in the season, the fruit developed evenly with concentrated flavor, color, and texture. Harvest began on August 13th with favorable, temperate weather throughout the picking season.
