The name of the Ried "Weinberg" is perhaps not the most imaginative, but at least everyone knows immediately what is meant, the southern Burgenlanders always have a very direct way. The vineyard is the location with the heaviest soil, loam and clay give it Wine its strength but also its softness. Almost cool and filigree on the nose, blueberries and plums, plus some eucalyptus and black tea, still has enough power, but the fine blade for southern Burgenland. With air it gets cooler and herbal, mint, sage and a vegetal touch, very complex and very balanced. Lots of freshness on the palate, the mellow tannin grabs you immediately, again plums, plus black cherries and some aronia berries, lively and tight-knit, remains very compact on the palate, lots of structure and dense pressure, then comes dark spice, some aniseed, juniper berries and caraway, almost salty at the end. Strong Blaufränkisch with great potential
