Vincent Girardin Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres 2016

A whisper of the exotic is present on the super-fresh citrus zest-suffused nose of acacia blossom, acacia and lavender. Once again there is excellent volume to the overtly rich and fleshy flavours that possess notably more minerality on the slightly more complex and lengthy finale. This is very generously proportioned but not heavy or stolid. 

Traditional oak vinification to yield a full-flavored yet graceful wine of exceptional balance and breed, with complex, distinctive aromas typical of Puligny. Les Folatières is a wine marrying intensity and finesse, with a full richness tempered by great elegance. The bouquet, allying well-bred fruit notes of almonds and minerals, which are repeated on the palate in the long finish.
