Vincent Girardin Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes 2015 |
We are delighted to have a range of Vincent Girardin's 2009s, which are charming wines. As Burghound remarks: "...there is an emphasis on juicy and very ripe fruit coupled with suave mouth feels, all wrapped in noticeable but by no means dominant oak.
" Chambolle is my favorite village in Burgundy, and its wines show elegance, red fruit notes and a soft and subtle character. This fits that pattern to a T. (Keith Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy buyer
THE TASTING
eye Dark colored dress.
nose Intense and voluminous nose, aromas of sour cherries nuanced by floral notes (flowers of vine, violet).
stuffy Precise and elegant mouth, superb aromatic precision. Large aromas of raspberry, candied strawberry, violet, undergrowth. Fine tannins associated with softness. They are not very acidic, but they are needed by their meaty flesh.
